Last year, our legislators passed SB 1507 to establish an Independent Correctional Oversight Office. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to include any funding in the bill.  

Legislators: Fund the Independent Correctional Oversight Office

Last week, a federal judge took over healthcare in Arizona’s prisons because they’ve failed to provide proper care to those who are incarcerated.  

We’re hoping this year, the legislature will include funding for this office in the budget. It’s a crucial step to restore credibility and accountability within our corrections system.  

Please ask your legislators to support funding for this crucial oversight office in the budget!
