Welcome to the Yard
Fraternity and Sorority Life has been growing over the past few months and we wanted to take this opportunity to introduce you to some new and returning organizations on campus this year.
In the spring 2025 semester, Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity, Inc. began recruitment efforts and as the newest members of our NALFO council, are currently in the chartering process.
The IFC council is welcoming two additions to the community this fall semester. Sigma Chi and Zeta Psi began recruitment efforts at ASU and will be welcoming new members to our community in the coming weeks.
Please join us in congratulating and welcoming our new and returning Greek Life members.
Each year the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) recognizes College Panhellenic Associations that demonstrates excellence in operations and support for the sorority experience.
For the 2024-2025 award year, ASU Panhellenic was one of only 11 associations nationwide, to receive the Excellence Award. Excellence Award winners “have demonstrated outstanding contributions to all award criteria, which include academic innovation, access, belonging and community impact, leadership, recruitment, marketing and operations.”
In addition to the Excellence Award, ASU Panhellenic was recognized for numerous other NPC Awards. For the full list of recognitions visit the link below.
Our very own Bridgette Wynn, was recognized by the NPC as the 2025 Outstanding Panhellenic Advisor. This award is presented to a campus-based professional with at least five years of experience working with College Panhellenics to follow NPC Unanimous Agreements and ethical practices, as well as communicating regularly with the NPC area advisor and NPC member organizations.
Wynn has been hard at work creating moments for everyone in ASU Fraternity and Sorority Life. Whether she is setting up “PNM closets” or working with chapter leadership to move bid day into the well-air conditioned Mullet Arena, Wynn takes an active above and beyond approach in her role.
Congratulations Bridgette and thank you for all you do.
Inaugural NASPA Fraternity and Sorority Life Certified Peer Educator Class
This summer, ASU Wellness and Fraternity and Sorority Life launched a new initiative to strengthen wellness within the FSL community. Led by Wellness Management Intern Grace Crain, the inaugural NASPA Fraternity and Sorority Life Certified Peer Educator (FSL CPE) Program trained six FSL students, who successfully completed the program on June 26th.
Since then, these Certified Peer Educator student leaders have co-facilitated trainings on Alcohol and Other Drugs, Hazing Prevention, and holistic wellness, reaching over 300 members of the Greek community so far this Fall. In addition to developing their public speaking, leadership, and health promotion skills, they will also play a key role in the TC Chillemi Homecoming Wellness event and participate in the FSL PEER Retreat experience in January.
The success of this first cohort has been incredibly encouraging. The Certified Peer Educators have emerged as strong wellness leaders and role models for their peers and ASU Wellness is looking forward to expanding participation across all councils, and welcoming the next FSL CPE cohort in late Fall 2025!
