End Due Process Fees

Peter,
Before the legislature went on recess, HB 2265—our bill to eliminate fees for constitutional due process rights—was moving through the legislature. When they return from recess in June, the bill just needs to receive a final vote on the floor of the Senate before it can go to the Governor’s desk. End due process fees
We want to make sure that when our legislators return to work in a couple weeks, they have heard from their constituents about the importance of this legislation. We don’t want to take any chances that the bill gets forgotten about.
Because eliminating fees for jury trials, public defenders, and appeals—all rights guaranteed to us in the constitution—is too important to push off any longer. Please take action now to ask your Senators to support HB 2265!
Standing with you,
Rebecca Gau, Executive Director
