Thank you for all the great work you do to save pet lives. We are thankful for your commitment to the pets in your care.

As a Petco Love partner, we’re excited to help make every pet adoption a forever one and set new pet parents up for success with the updated 2025 Adoption Support Benefit flyer (ASB). This replaces the 2024 ASB.

This 2025 ASB flyer ensures you can continue providing exclusive benefits to your new adopters! The ASB, which can be printed or shared digitally and redeemed online or in stores, provides new adopters a discount on purchases (thanks to our sponsor Petco), encourages them to register their new pet with Petco Love Lost in case they go missing, and more.

Start distributing your organization’s updated ASB, available for download below. Let’s help new pet parents take great care of their new pets and live their best lives together!

Important: Please discard and remove the 2024 ASB from circulation. The last day it can be redeemed is January 31, 2025.

Petco Love Adoption Rewards are paid out quarterly following Petco’s fiscal year. 4th Quarter adoptions (November, December & January) will payout by the end of February*. Organizations will receive a QTRLY scorecard via email with adoptions recorded to date. The next scorecard is scheduled for February 17, 2025.

*2023 Annual Data Report required for payment.

Rewards payouts occur the month following the QTR that the level threshold is met. Adoption Partners will be paid the difference between the larger award level threshold and the previous level reached each quarter.

Please refer to your Quarterly Adoption Partner Scorecard for details related to the number of adoptions recorded at Petco for the last quarter. If the adoption numbers do not match your records, please contact your Petco General Manager to correct any mistakes. If needed, corrections to your Adoption Rewards payout will occur in the next quarter.

Get Funds Faster

If you are a Petco Love grant recipient, have a pending grant request, or intend to apply for a grant in the future the fastest way to receive grant payments is via electronic fund transfer (EFT).

Sign-up for Paymode-X, Petco Love’s chosen electronic payment system, so that your future grant payments can be made electronically.

Once you sign-up, it may take up to 6 weeks for Paymode-X to have your account ready to receive electronic fund transfers.

Vaccinated And Loved Campaign

We have dedicated another million vaccines towards stopping the spread of deadly, preventable diseases for pets in need. If your organization has the capacity to host vaccine clinic events and directly administer vaccines to family pets, you might qualify to receive FREE Canine DAPPv and Feline HCP vaccines! As a reminder, our Vaccinated and Loved campaign application* is open year-round on the Partner Portal.

*The campaign’s focus is to reduce vaccine preventable diseases (parvovirus, distemper and panleukopenia) by providing DAPPv and HCP vaccines to our qualified partners to administer to family pets in their communities for free. Organizations performing adoptions must submit a current Annual Data Report to qualify.

Humane Network is working with the University of the Pacific to offer an award-winning online certificate program. This program offers courses that highlight Leadership, Shelter Operations, Community Program Development, Animal Health/Clinic Operations, and Marketing/Development.

Luisa to the Rescue♥️🩹

The moment Luisa arrived in Nicole’s home as a foster pup, everyone knew she was special. Initially rescued by Lucky Dog Rescue in Arizona, Luisa quickly became a beloved “foster fail” in the family’s home🐾

While Luisa’s bond with Nicole grew in an instant, the foster mom couldn’t help but notice the relationship little Luisa was forming with her daughter Riley. From comforting big emotions to lounging beside Riley as she learned to read, Luisa’s love became transformative.💓

“We decided we needed to share this love with the community,” shared Nicole. Now, as part of pet therapy nonprofit Gabriel’s Angels, she spreads that same joy to other children in need. “Together, we help kids with challenges ranging from the stress of learning to read, to dealing with trauma.” ♥️🩹

[SABR] Deadline extended for 2025 Local Grant applications

Dear Peter:

There are just a few weeks left to submit an application for a SABR Local Grant in 2025! Submissions will now be accepted until February 14, 2025. A Grants Review Board will review all submissions and respond with their final determination shortly after.

All SABR chapters, chartered communities, and research committees are eligible to apply. Individual SABR members and non-SABR groups are not eligible, so if you have an individual idea for a program grant, please follow up with your local chapter leadership or appropriate research committee to discuss an application.

The SABR Local Grants program provides an opportunity for chapters, research committees, and chartered communities to apply for funding for their projects under SABR’s Four Pillars: Research, Scholarship, Preservation, and Future of the Game.

The six projects that received a SABR Local Grant in 2024 are well under way, including a commemorative marker for Aberdeen Municipal Ballpark; a historical marker at the cemetery plot of Hall of Famer Dave Bancroft; and a two-day Dubuque Baseball Classic symposium.

Here’s a closer look at SABR’s Four Pillars, which are at the core of the Local Grants program:

The Four Pillars

Research
Research grant submissions should showcase the need for access to tools and/or infrastructure that will facilitate additional research on the game of baseball. Examples: Creation of a research committee database, digitization of research files/notes, support of a chapter research project.
Preservation
Preservation grant submissions should showcase the need to preserve, honor, or commemorate baseball history. Examples: Grave markers for notable baseball figures, commemorative plaques for historic baseball sites, restoration, or maintenance of pre-existing baseball landmarks.
Scholarship
Scholarship grant submissions should showcase the ability to share and disseminate baseball research to a broader audience. Examples: Research committee or regional research symposiums, chapter or research committee websites, tools/resources to activate local Baseball Memories programs.
Future of the Game
Future of the Game grant submissions should showcase the ability to engage with high school and/or college students through baseball research. Examples: Regional or committee-focused award programs, membership marketing efforts, funding for school partnership programs.
