Bible Study: 8:00 AM PDT 08/22/2026
Hello All,
Please join us for Bible study in 21 hours. The notes are below.
Below are your Bible Study notes for 8:00 AM PDT 08/22/2026. These notes are in a slightly different vein. Given the recent challenges with the nature of my health I have decided to spend a session or two or …, talking together with you about death. Interestingly enough I have selected the age of 60 as a beginning point. In 2026 the likelihood of someone born in 1966 being alive today is huge. Additionally at an age less than 60 it would be more profitable to discuss from the perspective of career and raising a family – an entirely different set of parameters.
I am certain when you join us you will quickly detect the trend and I pray for the desire to participate in the conversation. I also will provide a perspective on the burial process that many may find new.
Please join us, our Zoom Link and Study notes are below for this Saturday’s session at 8:00 AM PDT 08/22/2026. I pray you and yours are well.
Please remember that you bless us with your presence, and may the Holy Spirit bring you His comfort and His peace. Join us!!!

Bible Study Notes:
08/22/2026 – Prologue – Have you ever wondered why God has blessed you with a long life? This message will commence to outline seven biblical principles that reveal how God continues to work through older believers. Drawing from Scripture, we will be reminded that growing older is not the end of God’s purpose; but it is an opportunity to deepen our faith, encourage others, and leave a lasting spiritual legacy.
The Bible teaches that every season of life has a divine purpose. Continuing into old age, God calls His people to remain faithful in prayer, share their wisdom, encourage younger generations, trust in His promises, and serve Him with joy. Our elderly years are not wasted, but are part of God’s loving plan. God continues to use those who place their hope in Him. Whether you are 60 plus, retired, caring for elderly loved ones, or simply seeking biblical encouragement, this message offers wisdom for living with purpose, peace, and an unwavering trust in Jesus Christ. We will study how to strengthen your relationship with God, experience His grace daily, and embrace His calling. Do not hide from the question, “Why me, Oh Lord?” He has prepared a life for you. N. B. We are called by God into old age.
Here are seven things that God desires from elderly believers, 1) Why your life still has purpose in God’s plan. 2) Biblical wisdom for those Christians that have attained the age of 60, and beyond. 3) The importance of prayer, faith, and perseverance. 4) Christian teaching on aging with grace and hope. 5) How to encourage your family and future generations through faith. 6) Practical ways to grow closer to Jesus Christ every day. 7) Teachings, Gospel reflections, Divine Mercy messages, and Christian encouragement assist us to age with faith, and grace.
This is a great opportunity for Christian seniors, we will look at: God’s purpose/plan, our purpose after retirement, why one is still alive, Jesus Christ, Holy Bible, Bible study, Gospel message, Gospel reflection, Christian faith, Divine Mercy, prayer, trust in God, faith in Jesus, Christ focused motivation, spiritual growth, Christian encouragement, Christian living, biblical wisdom, aging gracefully, retirement, living as a senior Christians, daily prayer, Bible teaching, hope in Christ, God’s promises, Christian inspiration, Christian salvation, and biblical aging.
Have you ever wondered why God allows many people to live well and into their later years? Is there a spiritual purpose behind old age? We will explore what the Scripture and Gospel reveal about aging, spiritual maturity, and God’s continuing purpose for every believer. The Bible consistently teaches that old age is a blessing, when lived in faith. God often uses older men and women to encourage younger generations, share wisdom, strengthen families, and become living witnesses of His mercy and faithfulness. Viewing aging as the end of usefulness is false teaching. This lesson reminds us that every stage of life is an opportunity to glorify Jesus Christ and grow closer to Him. Throughout Scripture, we see faithful servants such as Abraham, Sarah, Moses, Elizabeth, Simeon, Anna, John and Micah serving God in their later years. Their lives remind us that God’s calling does not end with retirement or advancing age. Instead, He continues to shape His people through prayer, perseverance, humility, and unwavering trust in His promises.
Whether we are over 60, approaching retirement, caring for elderly parents, or seeking biblical encouragement for the later journey of life, this teaching offers hope, wisdom, and practical guidance, rooted in Christian faith and teaching. Discover how God’s grace continues to work powerfully through those who remain faithful to Him. If you are searching for Christian motivation, Gospel reflections, coming to faith after 60, aging with faith, daily prayer, and spiritual growth, this prologue will strengthen your faith and remind you that God still has a plan for your life. 1) Why does the Bible describes old age as a blessing? 2) What is God’s plan/purpose for believers after the age of 60? 3) Who are the Biblical examples of some of the faithful older men and women? 4) How do we grow spiritually during retirement and later life? 5) How does Christian teaching on aging guide us toward grace, hope, and perseverance? 6) Practical ways to serve God and encourage others in your senior years? 7) What are the teachings, Gospel reflections, and Divine Mercy messages that assist us?
As we grow older, our relationship with God often becomes deeper, simpler and more peaceful. In this series we will review biblical wisdom, Christian teaching, spiritual encouragement all crafted to seek what God truly desires from us after the age of 60. We will discover how faith, trust, prayer, forgiveness and hope become much more meaningful in the beautiful stage of life. Remember, we may think that we are fading this message will remind us that God’s love never fades and His purpose for our lives continues unabated – every day! Our working titles will be: 1) God’s love never changes. 2) What God expects from us. 3) Letting go of unnecessary burdens. 4) Living with greater faith after 60. 5) The power of forgiveness. 6) Finding peace in God’s plan. And 7) Encouragement inspired to trust God’s plan everyday., day!
I am indebted that much of what is discussed above was inspired by Fr. Chris Alar, MIC who is a youngish man, under 60, who came to a religious vocation, later in life, after a tour in the secular world.
