Hello! Welcome to August’s edition of ShrineLines. This edition features Divan Day 2023. Divan Day is when the Divans from Shrine Centers who support Shriners Children’s Chicago visit and hear about all of the great work happening at the hospital. It was a wonderful and educational day!

This display featured important moments in the history of the Shrine and Shriners Hospitals. This included important leaders and milestones in patient care over the years.
Medinah Shriners as Ushers

Purnendu Gupta, MD, Chief of Staff
Dr. Gupta highlighted complex spine cases and our wrap-around care model for craniofacial care and spinal cord injury rehabilitation.

Chicago Board of Governors and Divan Members
Throughout the course of the day, Shriners heard from different hospital departments. It was a great overview of the work done at Shriners Children’s Chicago across all departments.
Wayne Olson, Senior Director of Planned Giving
Wayne joined us from Tampa for Divan Day. He gave an engaging and educational presentation about the types of Planned Giving as well as its benefits.
Check Presentations
At the Board meeting following Divan Day, we had check presentations from the Medinah Hospitality Committee and the Prairie Dirt Classic Golf Outing.
Thank you to all of the Divan members and Shriners who continuously support Shriners Children’s Chicago. We are so grateful for all of the work that you do.
