We all know the iconic lyrics “Riding high in April, shot down in May” from the song That’s Life. Just by reading that will make most of us think of Frank Sinatra’s renowned voice. But the song has been recorded by several artists such as Aretha Franklin, The Temptations, and many others. It was written in 1963 but it still has a relevant and uplifting reminder for us, almost 60 years later. Because even though the song has a few pessimistic passages we have to remember that it has an encouraging message; despite the ups and downs in life, one should not give up because soon one will be “back in the race”.
