A Summer-Long Push to Expand Pet Fostering

Petco Love is excited to collaborate with leading animal welfare organizations on Foster 50, a new national initiative launching June 5.

Designed to support shelters and rescues, Foster 50 aims to boost foster care programs across the country and inspire more people to open their homes to pets in need this summer. Created in partnership with PEDIGREE Foundation, Maddie’s Fund and more, Foster 50 provides participating organizations with tools, training, and the opportunity to apply for grant funding to grow their foster networks.

Get Your 2025 ASB

Thank you for all the great work you do to save pet lives. We are thankful for your commitment to the pets in your care.

As a Petco Love partner, we’re excited to help make every pet adoption a forever one and set new pet parents up for success with the updated 2025 Adoption Support Benefit flyer (ASB). This replaces the 2024 ASB.

This 2025 ASB flyer ensures you can continue providing exclusive benefits to your new adopters! The ASB, which can be printed or shared digitally and redeemed online or in stores, provides new adopters a discount on purchases (thanks to our sponsor Petco), encourages them to register their new pet with Petco Love Lost in case they go missing, and more.

Start distributing your organization’s updated ASB, available for download below. Let’s help new pet parents take great care of their new pets and live their best lives together!

Important: Please discard and remove the 2024 ASB from circulation as it expired January 31, 2025.

Petco Love Adoption Rewards are paid out quarterly following Petco’s fiscal year. Quarter 1 adoptions (February, March & April) will payout by the end of May*. Organizations will receive a QTRLY scorecard via email with adoptions recorded to date.

*2024 Annual Data Report required for payment.

Rewards payouts occur the month following the QTR that the level threshold is met. Adoption Partners will be paid the difference between the larger award level threshold and the previous level reached each quarter.

Please refer to your Quarterly Adoption Partner Scorecard for details related to the number of adoptions recorded at Petco for the last quarter. If the adoption numbers do not match your records, please contact your Petco General Manager to correct any mistakes. If needed, corrections to your Adoption Rewards payout will occur in the next quarter.

Let your community and local media know how proud you are to partner with Petco Love Lost in reuniting lost pets with their families in your area!

Your partner toolkit has two press release templates that you can customize with your organization’s information to share with your local media after sending to media@petcolove.org for approval. One template features our partnership and how your team uses the free photo-matching technology to reunite pets – the other template will help you spread the word about successful reunions in your community thanks to your hard work and your partnership with Petco Love Lost.

Get Funds Faster

If you are a Petco Love grant recipient, have a pending grant request, or intend to apply for a grant in the future the fastest way to receive grant payments is via electronic fund transfer (EFT).

Sign-up for Paymode-X, Petco Love’s chosen electronic payment system, so that your future grant payments can be made electronically.

Once you sign-up, it may take up to 6 weeks for Paymode-X to have your account ready to receive electronic fund transfers.

Animal Shelter Management Certificate Program

Humane Network is working with the University of the Pacific to offer an award-winning online certificate program. This program offers courses that highlight Leadership, Shelter Operations, Community Program Development, Animal Health/Clinic Operations, and Marketing/Development.

BOBS^® Bestie of the Month

Sweet Soda Finds His Home🥤🏡

After being found on the streets of Granville County, NC, Soda the rescue pup was picked up and taken to Hope Animal Rescue. That’s where this Chihuahua mix’s life took a turn for the better. His profile caught the eyes of avid adopter/fosters Erik and Alyssa – though they nearly scrolled right past it! 😅

Soda wasn’t their usual type. He was bigger, younger, and way more energetic than the senior chihuahuas that they were used to. But something about his smile and the line from his bio “athletic and in the prime of his life” made them laugh. So, they took a chance!

“We thought we were picking him, but it turns out, he was picking us too,” shares Alyssa.💛

Soda has brought joy, chaos, and endless toy-flipping to their home. He’s the most playful pup they’ve ever known, with a serious love for car rides, cuddle sessions, and community events.

Once a stray, Soda is now Alyssa and Erik’s snuggle champ, toy master, and all-around beloved member of the family!
