No one feels the effects of climate change more than our communities.
Firefighters are dealing with more and more frequent wildfires. Families are trying to keep older adults safe during deadly heat waves. Households are rationing power during extreme weather. Streets and neighborhoods are inaccessible during chronic flooding.
We see the writing on the wall, and it’s clear that climate change is already here. We can’t sit back and allow things to keep going the way they are. We can’t afford to!
But big change starts with small movements. So, we need your help to keep our momentum going.
Small movements start with putting the right leaders in office. That means electing candidates who are ready to take on the fight against climate change today. But we don’t want to stop there. We need investment and support in research that helps our communities mitigate the worst effects.
We need to better understand how to handle the effects of a changing climate, the long-term impacts on our communities, and how to alleviate these ongoing risks.
