– Ans. Matusz was selected in the 1^st Round, 4^th overall in 2008. McDonald had been taken 1^st overall in 1989.  (Several other Orioles have been taken at 4^thoverall.) Matusz played for Long Island in 2019, the last stop in his professional baseball playing career.

– #1 Ortiz had 4 hits in 30 at-bats against Matusz, none of them for extra bases.

– #2 Matusz died in Phoenix in earlier this year at the age of 37.
