Verlander returns to Tigers for his 21st MLB season

Justin Verlander, who won an MVP Award and the first of his three Cy Youngs with the Tigers, is returning to Detroit for his 21st MLB season. The right-hander signed a one-year deal worth $13 million with the Tigers, who drafted him second overall in 2004.
