Last night, the Tucson Unified School District adopted a bell-to-bell cell phone away policy and we couldn’t be more excited! Our Executive Director spoke with KOLD about why we support these policies.

These policies are popular with teachers and have the support of the National Association of School Resource Officers. They have been shown to increase academic achievement and help students be more engaged in class.

We are so excited that TUSD decided to implement this strong cell phone policy and hope more districts follow their lead – ensuring that all grades, even high schools, prohibit cell phone use during the full school day including lunch and passing periods.
