What better way to celebrate Presidents Day than by announcing the Rangers Wanted augmented reality app? In collaboration with the Future of StoryTelling, Trigger XR, and Niantic Labs, creators of the game-changing Pokemon GO, the app turns Theodore Roosevelt’s passion for conservation into an interactive experience he and the kids would surely love.
It’s been a pleasure working with James Roosevelt, TR’s great-great-nephew and director of technology at Trigger XR, on this experience celebrating the family’s legacy. Rangers Wanted is available now in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store for an adventure you can enjoy indoors and outdoors!
Despite the chilly weather in Medora and the Badlands, we’re making progress on construction and will share more in the March edition of our newsletter. Stay tuned!
RANGERS WANTED GAME
Rangers Wanted is an excellent way to further TR’s goals of conservation awareness by encouraging the next generation to enjoy and preserve nature just like he did!
James Roosevelt, Director of Technology at Trigger and TR’s great-great nephew, shared his thoughts on building the experience: “Whether you are helping an arctic fox catch its food while hiding in the snow or playing an active role in rebuilding a beaver’s dam, Rangers Wanted allows you to use augmented reality to learn about wildlife and explore your own surroundings. In this digital age, kids can use this technology to learn to protect natural habitats, gain an understanding of the impact that these animals have on their unique ecosystems, and explore new environments wherever adventure takes them.”
See it in action as our team demos the app in iconic places nationwide, like Roosevelt Island Park in Washington DC and Times Square in New York City.
“Every child has inside him an aching void for excitement and if we don’t fill it with something which is exciting and interesting and good for him, he will fill it with something which is exciting and interesting and which isn’t good for him.” -Theodore Roosevelt
