In a new ZAKA360 video, volunteers began with a soul-piercing Acheinu Kol Beis Yisrael – – and then started to speak of the horrific sights they’ve seen, after collecting, identifying, and burying bodies of those murdered on Simchas Torah.
In other footage, David Maluka, a volunteer shared that his breaking point was seeing the murdered kids, holding the bodies in his hands, and just wondering how old they were.
Another volunteer said that it hit him after he returned home and hugged his kids. All he could think about was the families that had been wiped out. “It’s not something that we can grasp.”
After seeing the worst of humanity, they’re redoubling their efforts to give respect to Jewish bodies. They are raising urgently needed funds for a command post that will allow Jewish bodies to be located and buried faster. To learn more and help ZAKA360 revamp the way they work, click here.
