See highlights from 2025 at the link below!Meet the Students Who Built a Plane From ScratchCal Poly aerospace students spent more than a year turning crates of sheet metal into Velma — a fully functional, floral-painted Rans S-21 Outbound plane. On a sunny summer day, their creation roared down the runway and lifted into the sky, cheered on by classmates, family and mentors. It’s Learn by Doing in full flight. He oversaw strategy and leadership for the newspaper’s video, audio, design, graphics, photo and visual storytelling teams. During his tenure, he helped shape how complex stories were presented across platforms, leaving a lasting impact on the paper’s multimedia journalism.
