Henderson, previously the deputy athletics director for external relations at Stanford University, brings to his new role deep experience in intercollegiate athletics from around the country. He succeeds retiring Athletic Director Don Oberhelman and was appointed after a national search.Cal Poly is Best in the West For 33rd Straight YearCal Poly is the best overall master’s-level university in the West for both public and private institutions for the third consecutive year in the U.S. News & World Report’s 2026 Best Colleges guidebook. The nonprofit research organization is home to about 150 scientists across the U.S. and internationally. PSI specializes in space exploration, field and lab research, and the analysis of large, complex datasets covering topics across the solar system and beyond. Congratulations, Amanda!
