Following this week’s Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting, the central bank announced its decision to keep interest rates unchanged. This was not a surprise as the Fed continues to evaluate if current rates are helping to keep inflation under control. While the Fed has hinted at rate cuts in 2024, it’s unclear when – or if – that will come to pass.
