The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp at Historic Festival
40
The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp provides “a different kind of healing” to children with serious illnesses and their families through year-round programs celebrating the fun, friendship and spirit of childhood. A legendary actor, visionary philanthropist and race car driver, Paul Newman founded The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp in 1988 so children with serious illnesses could just be kids, and “raise a little hell”. All programming at The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp is intentionally designed to meet every individual’s unique needs and offered at no cost to families thanks to the generosity of others. To help create “a different kind of healing” for children with serious illnesses text BANDIT to 243725 or, scan the Camp QR code throughout the track this weekend at HF40.
Be sure to stop by Hole in The Wall Gang Camp’s midway booth throughout the weekend to learn more about the Camp & how you can make a difference.
The shortage of qualified mechanics and restoration specialists is the biggest challenge facing the collector car industry. The Piston Foundation’s mission is to change this. By making skilled trade education and apprenticeships more accessible for more people, the Piston Foundation aims to help build a new generation of tradespeople in the collector car industry.
The Piston Foundation will be on the midway all weekend at Historic Festival 40, as well as presenting the Piston Technician Award. The Piston Technician Award recognizes the essential contribution auto technicians make to the collector car community through their trade skills and technical automotive expertise. Often the unsung heroes of the race track, the Piston Technicians Award acknowledges the hard work and commitment of technicians to keep a car running at peak performance. Be sure to stop by the Piston Foundation Booth and learn more about their mission.
