BACKGROUND:
Folie a Deux has blossomed since coming under the Trinchero family umbrella in 2004. Under Bob Trinchero, the proprietor of several renowned California wineries, the quality at Folie a Deux has skyrocketed. Alexander Valley is one of the premier regions in all of California for Cabernet Sauvignon, lead by giants like Jordan, Silver Oak, Simi, Stonestreet and many more.

Grapes for this Cab were sourced primarily from their Cloverdale Estate vineyard in the heart of Alexander Valley. This Cab underwent a maceration period of 9 to 20 days which brought rich color, medium body, balanced mouthfeel and excellent aging potential. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine was aged for 19 months in primarily French oak barrels, 33% new.

“Folie à Deux Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a pure expression of its region. Concentrated aromas of graphite, boysenberry, dark cherry, a hint of menthols and black olive sit atop clove and brown sugar notes. Rich, round and robust in structure, this wine showcases ripe, concentrated flavors of dark fruit, complemented by chocolate, molasses, tobacco spice and a balanced finish.”
