Surprising Garden Plants Could Undermine Your Health

We know that eating a variety of vegetables and fruits is vital for having a strong, healthy gut.
However, eating some of these foods is causing discomfort for many Americans. A sudden inability to tolerate nourishing foods is often confusing, frustrating, and even isolating since so much of our lifestyle revolves around social gatherings and food.
Perhaps most agonizing is living in an era in which we are raising questions faster than we are receiving answers, leaving us prone to knee-jerk decisions about what to eat and what to avoid.
That can be the case with nightshades—a group of plants that release substances toxic to animals that also appear to aggravate some people.
Unfortunately, the science surrounding these foods is not developed enough to provide the answers and tests needed to navigate the murky waters of nightshades. This week’s article, however, explains what might be causing symptoms of intolerance and what to do if you suspect that eating these plants is harming you.
