The Grande Innovation Academy described an increase in per-student funding from the state as “a beacon of light” that will enable the school to boost teacher pay and up the number of employed staff. GIA said the additional funding will allow the school to increase teacher pay by this much.

It’s a close race for Eloy City Council candidates as well, though the latest results show challenger Michelle McKinley-Tarango and incumbent Andrew Rodriguez with a close margin lead.
