Sam Darnold has played the best football of his career to get to the Super Bowl, while Drake Maye has underwhelmed in the playoffs. That’s not necessarily what we should expect on Sunday in Santa Clara, though.

The Seahawks and Patriots did not play each other this season, which was clear from Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald saying he had “watched like five plays” of New England this season. That makes sense, but it also means the second-year coach will have had a busy last seven days.
