Floriography – the idea of each flower having a meaning – can be traced back for thousands of years, but was particularly popularised in the 18th century by aristocrat and poet Lady Mary Wortley Montagu, and in Victorian England the craze for using flowers to send coded messages was useful in a society where feelings could not always be spoken aloud.
We thought we’d bring this tradition well and truly into the 21st century, by creating a brand new Bespoke ecard, wherein you can choose the birth flower for your recipient, according to the month in which they’re born.
Flowers have been prominent in our ecards from very early on – so much so that our floral ecards have their own category. So why not join our ecards service and send your loved ones a beautiful bouquet in ecard form? It’s just $30 / £24 / €28 for an entire year!
Handy Tip! When you’ve added your chosen personalisation on our Bespoke cards, scroll down and click the blue “Send this card” button, to add your greeting and send.
With best wishes,
The Jacquie Lawson team
