SABR 54: Ten days left to submit presentation abstracts…
February 12, 2026
Dear Peter:
Join us in Cleveland, Ohio, this summer for SABR’s 54th annual convention on July 29–August 2, 2026, at the Hilton Downtown Cleveland hotel! Conference and hotel registration for SABR 54 is now available at SABR.org/convention.
SABR invites all members to present their research findings to their colleagues attending SABR 54. Oral presentations are expected to last 20 minutes, followed by a five minute question-and-answer period. Posters will be presented, with the author on-hand to discuss the work, during a poster session of 60 minutes and they will remain on display throughout the convention.

For almost as long as there’s been professional baseball, there’s been professional baseball in Cleveland. From the Forest Citys to the infamous Spiders to Cleveland’s current team, the Guardians, Cleveland has been a major league city for more than 150 years. But it’s been home to a variety of teams at a variety of venues. As cities grew to prominence along Lake Erie, they also became home to baseball teams, including big cities like Toledo and Buffalo, as well as smaller cities like Sandusky; Erie, Pennsylvania; and Windsor, Ontario. In addition, the region is home to dozens of colleges and a thriving amateur baseball scene as well. Many major leaguers have come from the area or at one point called it home. All of these subjects are ripe for research at SABR 54.

Please note: If your abstract is accepted and you intend to make a research presentation, you must register to attend the SABR 54 convention.
Whether you’re attending your first SABR convention or returning as a longtime regular, this is a great year to be part of the experience. Newcomers will find plenty of opportunities to connect and build baseball friendships, while veteran attendees can look forward to a richly layered event. It promises to be an unforgettable week of baseball fellowship in “The Land,” and we hope you’ll join us!
