We don’t need to go into the horrors of puppy mill breeding practices… you already know how staggeringly cruel and unethical they are. That’s why we can’t wait. Thankfully, a ban on the sale of puppy mill dogs, cats, and rabbits in pet stores has passed the New York State legislature by a wide margin. Now it’s on Governor Hochul to sign the bill into law.
We’re so close to shutting down a key part of the puppy mill pipeline, but every minute these bills go unsigned is another moment a mother dog suffers in horrifying puppy mill conditions.
California, Maryland, and Illinois have already shut down the puppy mill pipeline. Let’s make sure New York follows their lead – and then take this mission national. Join our pledge to break the puppy mill pipeline not just in New York, but in all 50 states.
