The Mesa man accused of shooting and killing an Eloy woman and Casa Grande teen pleaded not guilty to the charges on Friday morning. The two victims were fatally shot in April outside of an apartment complex in Casa Grande.
Also, ADOT is reminding motorists to slow down and drive safely in construction zones. Starting tonight, motorists driving north on State Route 347 should expect some delays. The Arizona Department of Transportation is improving the intersection of SR 347 and Old Maricopa Road. The roadwork is expected to continue through mid-July.
And speaking of roadway safety, a Maricopa man was arrested after he allegedly ran several stop signs and a stop light. The man was riding a motorized scooter and allegedly told officers that since he wasn’t driving a motorized vehicle, he didn’t have to follow traffic laws.
