Meanwhile, a 27-year-old Phoenix woman accused of leading police on a chase on westbound Interstate 10 near Casa Grande has been arrested. A Pinal County Sheriff’s deputy reported seeing the woman’s car cutting off other vehicles on the interstate. When the deputy tried to pull her over, she allegedly braked hard in an attempt to have the police car crash into her car.

Plus, girls at Casa Grande Union hit the gridiron for the first time last week. The Cougars flag football team had their first official game last Tuesday, providing new opportunities and challenges for athletes.
