When Aila and her family turned to Children’s National Hospital for support, they found world-class care — and community.
“We have this village now,” Aila’s mom, Olga, says. “When Aila walks into the hospital, she waves left and right at everyone who knows her.”
At age 1, Aila was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at Children’s National. The condition limits her mobility, and she uses a walker or crutches to get around.
Since her diagnosis, Aila received treatment through our White Matter Clinic, which supports children with damage to the brain’s white matter, a large network of nerves. Aila’s parents are grateful she can receive holistic care, made possible by generous people like you.
