You’re invited to CISA’s fifth annual Día de los Muertos celebration on Oct. 30!
Enjoy live mariachi, traditional Mexican folk dance performances, arts and crafts, festive food and more.
Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is an Indigenous tradition from Latin America with complex cultural roots that commemorates the lives of ancestors and the return of their spirits. Each fall, ASU’s College of Integrative Sciences and Arts (CISA), together with partners from across the Polytechnic campus, brings this vibrant tradition to life.
Guests are invited to bring a photo of a late loved one to add to one of the ofrendas, or altars of remembrance. Honor a veteran who has passed on an ofrenda hosted by the Office for Veteran and Military Academic Engagement(OVMAE). Email ovmae@asu.edu if you need your photo printed.
This event is free to attend and welcomes everyone who wants to experience this beautiful celebration of life.
