Organizations eligible* for funding during this grant cycle include:

• Animal control agencies and nonprofit organizations responsible for animal control sheltering

• SPCA/humane societies and other nonprofits operating primarily from an animal sheltering facility

• Nonprofit organizations that are primarily foster-based rescues

• TNR organizations that perform adoptions

Meet Butter!

Butter was rescued as a pup in Texas by Hearts and Bones Rescue and adopted by Yukari in New York. When Yukari experienced a racist incident on the street, Butter’s comfort and care showed her that love prevails. With Butter’s help, Yukari found strength and encouragement in her local community of pet parents, who rallied around Yukari and Butter to help them feel safe again.
