Good mental health policy doesn’t happen by accident. It happens because informed, empowered lawmakers step up to champion the issues that matter.
That’s why we invest in educating and equipping policymakers with the knowledge, tools, and resources they need to lead the way. When lawmakers understand the challenges and solutions, they can drive meaningful, lasting change.
Today, we’re spotlighting two members of Inseparable’s State Mental Health Caucus from Wisconsin, State Senator Jesse James and State Representative Paul Tittl, who are working to strengthen the mental health workforce. These leaders are championing AB 76, a bill that would create a state income tax deduction for psychiatrists and mental health professionals, helping recruit and retain providers across the state.
This progress is a powerful example of what happens when we cultivate and support mental health champions. Their leadership helps advance meaningful policy in every corner of the country.
This is why electing champions everywhere–and equipping them with the right tools once they’re in office–matters. We won’t stop doing that work until every American has access to the mental health care they deserve.
A huge thank you to our champions — and thank you for being a part of our movement!
