Note that the event on Sunday morning will start at 6:30 am and not 7:00 am. This is due to the heavier than normal participation we expect. Also, DJ Brian will be back again this year to spin tunes, and the lovely Danielle will be back to sell 50/50 raffle tickets. All raffle proceeds will be donated to the Brock Yates’ Alzheimer’s Fund.
Cars and Coffee Darien is the only cars and coffee anywhere in the world to be held where a Cannonball started. Last year’s Cannonball Reunion event drew nearly 300 cars and almost 1,000 spectators from as far away as Los Angeles, Germany and the UK. The auction netted almost $5,000 for charity. It was a blast – check out the photo galleries (below) courtesy of Ed Hyman.

This years’ star car is scheduled to be Brock Yate’s other Dodge Challenger – the one he was building before he passed away. It’s a 2006 Chrysler 300C Hemi chassis with a 1974 Dodge Challenger body. The car had been lost for a number of years and recently found and the new owner is committed to taking over where Brock left off and is completing the project. The Darien event will be only the 3rd time in 18 years that the car has been seen in public.
We’ll also have several of the original Cannonballer’s in attendance.
Pamela Yates (Cannonball 3)
Brick Yates, Jr (Cannonball 1)
Brad Niemcek (Cannonballs 2, 3 & 4)
John Micek (Cannonball 5)
VIP Event Parking Only: Includes VIP parking on the show field for your car plus admission for you and your guest(s). $25 in advance.
More than just a “cars and coffee” event, Cars and Coffee Darien blends the casual atmosphere of a Sunday morning cars and coffee with a car show – except that there is no cutoff year, and there are no rules about what you can bring: cars, trucks, Jeeps, and motorcycles of any year are all welcome.
Cars and Coffee Darien is the only event of its type anywhere in the world with a connection to the Cannonball races of the 1970s. Known for being a family-friendly event. It is quite common to see multi-generational families, and young parents with strollers walking about. We’re also pet-friendly, and we encourage you to bring your [leashed] 4-legged children.
