For the first time in our 50-year history, we are launching an all-out, point-to-point transatlantic battle. On September 1st, 2026, the foiling IMOCA fleet will gather in New York for The Ocean Race Atlantic with one definitive goal: to be first across the finish line in Lorient, France.

But this is more than a hunt for speed; it is Racing For The Ocean. Alongside our Impact Partner, 11th Hour Racing, we are proving that elite performance and ocean stewardship go hand-in-hand. By implementing a mandatory 50-50 gender-balanced crew and a vital scientific mission to gather climate data, we are using the race to drive gender equity in the sport and provide the insights needed to protect our seas.

Team Francesca Clapcich – Powered by 11th Hour Racing 

Led by the first Italian woman to win The Ocean Race (2023), ‘Frankie’ combines elite experience with a fierce commitment to diversity.

Team Malizia 

Leads with the message “A Race We Must Win,” uniting high-performance sport with ambitious climate action.

DMG MORI Sailing Team 

The legendary Kojiro Shiraishi brings his infectious spirit and vast experience to connect the world through racing.

Paul Meilhat Sailing Team  

Fresh off a victory in The Ocean Race Europe 2025, Paul and his crew return to conquer the Atlantic sprint.

Oliver Heer Ocean Racing 

Bringing Swiss precision and determination to the global stage, Oliver leads a campaign focused on the highest level of competition.

Beyond the start line, our Race will offer inclusive sailing activities and STEM clinics in both locations, a Generation Ocean Symposium for youth in New York, internships and The Ocean Race Female Leadership programme by the Magenta Project. Dive deep into the ocean with our award winning ocean education programmes available in 16 languages and free to share with your community or follow the science programme on our science tracker.
