The Major League Baseball regular season is six months long, which allows us to break the season into six convenient chunks. Each of these chunks is equal to the others, even if it doesn’t seem that way at the time; it always feels, in the moment, that the first and last months count more.

But as with last year, we will be putting together an All-Star Team for each month of the season. Can you believe it has been a month already? Here’s an All-Star pick from each league, at each position, for April.

And why, yes: There are a lot of Rays on here.

The first MLB regular-season game to ever take place in Mexico City was bound to be memorable, but the Padres’ 16-11 victory over the Giantsgave us one historic moment after another.

Legendary wrestler Rey Mysterio gifted Padres players with Lucha Libre masks to welcome them to Mexico City, and Manny Machado was among those showing them off before the series opener.

In his debut for the Yankees, Jake Bauers showed no fear on the first ball hit his way in left field, headlining our list of the day’s top plays.

Picked up last year to fortify the Phillies’ defense, Brandon Marsh has emerged as their offensive leader early this season after making several adjustments with hitting coach Kevin Long.

Giants and Padres players and several former MLB All-Stars were among those who hosted a Play Ball event for kids in Mexico City.

After a historic slugfest in the Mexico City Series opener, the Giants and Padres conclude their set today at 4 p.m. ET at Estadio Alfredo Harp Helú.
