When the five lights went out, Norris & Piastri were unable to mount a charge but remained ahead of the Mercedes and Ferrari drivers.

Yuki Tsunoda’s inaugural Grand Prix weekend for Red Bull didn’t go 100% to plan, with the home hero starting fourteenth – but he did manage to gain a couple of positions during the race.

Two drivers who should be pleased with their performances at Suzuka are Isack Hadjar and Ollie Bearman, who finished P8 and P10, respectively.
