You’d think that being adopted means I’d have a home forever, right? Well, I was wrong.

I was just a playful puppy when my parents adopted me from North Shore Animal League America. Then my heart broke twice… first when my beloved family splintered in a divorce, and again when they left me at a shelter in New Jersey.

When that shelter found out where I had originally been adopted from, they reached out. Without hesitation, the North Shore Animal League America team welcomed me back home with open arms. Now I know that no matter what happens, Animal League America will always have my back. That’s the kind of family I’m proud to be a part of.
