Israel has hit a historic milestone: its population has surged past 10 million for the first time.

It’s a twelvefold jump since the nation’s founding in 1948.

Nearly half of the world’s Jews now call Israel home, with 77.6% of the country’s 10.1 million residents identifying as Jewish or “other.”

And about 20.9% are Arab citizens — Muslim, Christian, or Druze — illustrating the Mediterranean county’s multi-religious population.

“It’s an absolutely beautiful experience: beautiful food, great stores,” a man told Newsmax Israel Correspondent Jodie Cohen.

A woman added of the mall, located steps from the Old City, “It’s really nice, everything is pretty.”

Another shopper chimed in, “It’s very casual, I like it.”
