Avi Kwa Ame is the source of life for 10 Yuman-speaking tribes. It holds cultural importance to the Hopi and Chemehuevi Paiute people. And it’s a designated Traditional Cultural Property on the National Register of Historic places. This land, its history, and its meaning to local people is INVALUABLE.

Making Avi Kwa Ame a National Monument would give it the same protections from the fossil fuel industry that we give to our National Parks. And we’re so close to making that happen.
