But what’s the fediverse, you say? Short for “federated universe,” it’s a network of social platforms, including Threads, Mastodon and Flipboard, that let you follow people and interact with them, regardless of the platform they use.

So here’s the good part: Now you can follow accounts like POTUS, Marques Brownlee, Kara Swisher, George Takei, Joy Reid, and many more in your Flipboard app.

1. 1. Explore: Select the Search icon in the navigation bar and you’ll see a new Fediverse tab with a list of featured accounts to follow.

1. 1. Community: Select the Home icon and next to your For You feed, you’ll see Community. Updated weekly, this is where Flipboard’s editorial team features interesting collections and profiles.

1. Search: Select the Search icon and type a profile name into the search bar. See results  in the new Fediverse Accounts section in the All and Social tabs.
