Florence bluegrass and balloons event returning | Daily Headlines

Good morning RJ,

Although it will be under a new name and in a new location, the Greater Casa Grande Chamber of Commerce’s popualr lifestyle show will be back in action next weekend. The Casa Grande Lifestyle Show and Airplane, Car and Truck Show will be at the Casa Grande Municipal Airport and will focus on connecting people to resources for living in the area.

In local crime news, a Coolidge man was accused of threatening a woman with a baseball baton Christmas Eve. The 24-year-old suspect was charged with domestic violence and aggravated assault.

And nationally, House Republicans had a difficult time coming to a decision Tuesday, as for the first time in 100 years, the party was unable to elect a Speaker of the House in two separate votes.

A weekend of bluegrass and hot air balloons returns to Florence next month with a new name, a new co-host, a new location and more music, camping and activities.

Child hospitalized after 2-vehicle crash in Maricopa

A two-vehicle collision in Maricopa caused minor injuries and a child to be transported to the hospital. According to the city, at around 1:18 p.m. on Tuesday, the vehicles collided at the intersection of John Wayne Parkway and Bowlin Road, causing both to travel off the road.
