Five straight green days heading into December
| So we just closed out the fifth day in a row where everything went up. Which, you know, is a pretty decent way to wrap up a holiday-shortened week. The Dow had its best week since June. S&P and Nasdaq both put up their best numbers since May. Not too shabby. Here’s the thing though — the Dow and S&P both managed to finish November in the green, which makes it seven months in a row now. The Nasdaq actually dipped for the month, first time it’s been down since March. But even with all that tech volatility, the VIX closed at its lowest point in a month. So the market’s not exactly freaking out.Couple things happened today:Zelenskyy’s chief of staff resigned in Ukraine. Cathie Wood’s been picking up shares on the dip — make of that what you will.SanDisk had some options action on their debut. CME Group had a system outage but the stock barely moved.Nothing major on the earnings front, which honestly made for a quieter Friday.Commodities moved up too:Oil climbed about 2% to close around $59.56. Up for the week, down about 2.4% for the month overall.Gold hit a two-week high, ended near $4,227. Up almost 3% for the week, 4.6% for November. Pretty typical safe-haven move.Anyway, that’s how we closed out the week. Could be worse heading into December. 5151 Pfeiffer Rd Cincinnati, OH 45242No longer want to receive these emails? In any option buying approach, it is expected that losing trades will be more numerous than winning trades. The goal is for the average gain to be significantly greater than the average loss so that the bottom line is profitable. Prior to purchase, ensure that you have a broker that allows the trading of options and that you are approved to trade options. |
