“Simply put, if we don’t support the ACA and campaigns like Seed the Future, who will?” – Ted Capossela.
The Queen City Angels can best be described as the ‘earliest adopter’ of the Angel Investor Foundation’s Seed the Future Campaign. In fact, the group explored ACA’s long-term growth goals even before the Angel Investor Foundation was created, and several QCA members made early gifts to seed the campaign.
“I’m incredibly proud of each of our members who have embraced the Seed the Future Campaign and want to do what they can to expand angel investing and the critical support the angel investor community provides to entrepreneurs, particularly those who historically haven’t had access to start-up capital,” said Tony Shipley, Chair And Co-Fund Manager at Queen City Angels, Chair Emeritus of the Angel Capital Association and Chair of the Seed the Future Campaign.
The Angel Investor Foundation Welcomes New Development Director
Prior to joining the ACA team, Katelynne Staehnke worked as the Development Director at Lake Washington Girls Middle School and as the Fundraising and Events Manager at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation in Washington, DC. Before her six years with the Chamber, she also worked on Capitol Hill as a Legislative Correspondent and for NBC-KOMU as an Anchor and Producer.
Katelynne’s greatest passion is connecting people’s giving abilities with their philanthropic affinities.
“There are infinite organizations doing great things, but what I believe is special about ACA and the Seed the Future Campaign is how deliberate our investors are about the communities they are serving, not just with their money but their time and resources. ACA has a ‘lift as you climb’ mentality that I haven’t found anywhere else.”
