In an effort to beautify the city, Casa Grande is seeking local artists to help create murals in areas that are targeted by graffiti. The Casa Grande Arts and Humanities Commission is hoping to celebrate the city’s culture and history through these murals.

For residents in Maricopa, be aware that some roads will be closed tonight. The Arizona Department of Transportation will be giving “needed attention” to State Routes 238 and 347. The first maintenance day for the roads is tonight at 8 p.m. and will run through Saturday at 5 a.m.

Speaking of Maricopa, in response to the planned Maricopa Medical and Innovation campus taking up a portion of land near the Copper Sky Dog Park, city staff introduced plans to construct three new dog parks in the city. The first one will be on the eastern portion of Copper Sky, the second located at Pacana Park and the third being right behind City Hall.
