Despite its relatively short history as a city, Maricopa has grown at break-neck speeds. And with all the change that has happened within that short period, it’s fun to picture just where the city — which continues to add to its population count — might go.

And that’s just what we asked a host of city officials, community leaders, health care providers and residents to imagine: What does the city of Maricopa look like 20 years down the line? We asked them to imagine the future of the community through the lens of sectors like economic development, housing, local entertainment and even the future of education. The changes they see coming down the pipeline are, in some cases, mind-blowing — especially as you start to consider what Maricopa’s population figures might look like in the next two decades.
