In the latest issue of Copacetic, we celebrate 20 years of incorporation for Maricopa. In today’s newsletter, we continue to highlight what makes Maricopa such a special place! Whether its the past, present or future, the city has so much to be proud of and excited for in the coming years.

Mayor Smith Talks First 100+ Days

Nancy Smith has had a lot on her plate since taking the oath of office and becoming Mayor of Maricopa. Although it has been a busy first 100 days for the mayor, Smith says she’s enjoyed every minute of the job so far. Now that she’s had some time in the Mayor’s chair, she detailed what’s left for her to accomplish in her first year as mayor.

“It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that very few people get to help grow a city from 1,500 people to now 70,000 people,” she said, “and ensure that we continue to get all of the elements of a well-rounded city into the city of Maricopa, and to successfully bring this city to its full potential is thrilling.”
