Have you visited Rooster Cogburn Ostrich Ranch? If not you are missing a treat. It’s home to more than just the world’s largest birds, as our Pinal Ways editor found out this summer.
Finding fun for all ages at Rooster Cogburn Ostrich Ranch
The ostrich ranch started as a vision dreamed up by Danna Cogburn-Barrett’s father, D.C. “Rooster” Cogburn. Cogburn had been heavily active in the entertainment industry, working as a professional animal trainer and even developing a deer park in Arkansas.
And today, the park offers a wide array of animals to see and interact with, from parakeets and ostriches to European fallow deer and South African Boer goats.
You can read more about the animals, the history of the ranch and history of ostrich feathers, ostrich leather and the Ford Model T in this subscriber-only story.
When the summer temperatures ramp up in Arizona, residents look for fun ways to spend their time while also beating the heat. Tucked away in Eloy, Skydive Arizona presents not only a fun activity but a chance for guests to gain a once-in-lifetime experience as well.
