Oakton NAMI Family Support Group which meets virtually & in person on the 1st Thursday evening, will meet virtually on August 3rd, 2023.

Arlington NAMI Family Support Group for Parents of Youth that meets on the 2nd & 4th Sunday evenings will continue to take a break through the end of August and resume starting September.

All NAMI Northern Virginia members in good standing are invited to our 2023 Annual Membership Meeting on Sunday, August 27, 2023 from 3 pm to 4:30 pm.

During this in-person annual meeting, you will get:

• updates on our 2022-2023 year and the strategic vision for 2023-2024.
• program updates, including new programs and ideas.
• updates on our financial health.
• vote on our Board of Directors slate and on proposed changes to our bylaws.

NAMI Peer-to-Peer is a free, eight-session educational program for adults with mental health conditions who are looking to better understand themselves and their recovery. Taught by trained leaders with lived experience, this program includes activities, discussions and informative videos. However, as with all NAMI programs, it does not include recommendations for treatment approaches.

This class will be meeting on Tuesdays from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, starting on September 5th until October 24th. Sessions will held virtually on Zoom.

Do you have passion to help educate peers in a class setting to support their recovery journey with activities and discussions? Join our NAMI Peer-to-Peer Class facilitator team.

Are you a Mental Health Professional with a personal mental health experience willing to share your story and educate local healthcare providers? Join NAMI Provider team.
