While the time to purchase Girl Scout cookies may be wrapping up this week, 2023 is only the beginning for the county’s newest troop. The city of Eloy has introduced their first-ever Girl Scout troop. Started by a pair of Eloy mothers, Troop 3650 is ready to show young Eloy girls what is possible.
Speaking of Eloy, the city council spent a large amount of time debating their restaurant and bar tax at their last meeting. Eloy’s 6% tax rate on restaurants and bars is the highest rate in the state, and some city officials are hoping a cut to the tax will boost business and growth.
