Message and Prayers for Minnesota

Praying With Our Lips and Our Lives
“At such a time as this, we as people of faith are called to act. That action can be large or small, but in all that we do we must strive to counter this deliberate culture of fear and violence with acts of neighborly love. Our actions can be local or national, but they must be rooted in Christ’s command to love one another as he loves us.”
Head to the website for messages and prayers from Bishop of Washington Mariann Edgar Budde, Cathedral Dean Randy Hollerith, and Presiding Bishop Sean Rowe.

In Case You Missed It

Sunday Sermon
The Rev. Canon Leonard L. Hamlin, Sr.
“Every day we are faced with decisions. Some small, some seismic. But there are moments when we stand on the edge of change, and must decide whether we will cling to what is safe, or step into what is faithful. So the disciples chose to trust that voice calling them, that it was worth more than the nets that they dropped.
And the question for us is not whether God is calling. The question is whether we are willing to make a decision. Because one fateful decision made in the midst of uncertainty can transform a life, a community, and can change the world we live in.”
