A Glendale man, allegedly transporting three people in the country illegally, has been sentenced to two years of probation and had his license revoked after leading officers on a pursuit at speeds greater than 100 mph that resulted in a crash near the Interstate 10 and Interstate 8 interchange.
In other crime news, on Saturday, a federal judge refused to halt the Arizona’s first execution of a prisoner in eight years despite claims from the man’s attorneys that the drug being used may be expired. The execution of Clarence Dixon is scheduled for Wednesday.
And as the water levels sink lower at Lake Mead, more of what lies beneath is being revealed. A second set of human remains was discovered by two paddle boarders near the lake on Saturday. Law enforcement officials are still trying to identify the remains of a man who was found inside a barrel near the lake last week.
